Edinburgh as the capital hosts a number of fascinating museums and sights that will make you fall in love with this 'Athens of the North'.  Edinburgh Castle dominates the skyline and provides unique views over the surrounding area and includes an ancient chapel, also hosts the finale of the annual festival.  Rosslyn Chapel situated just outside of the City, is a 15th Century church with connections with the Knights Templar and featured in The Da Vinci Code film.

Glasgow known as the second City of Empire but also is Scotland's centre of business and the arts.  The latter is most clearly illustrated by what was known as the Glasgow Style and the greatest known proponent of this being Charles Rennie Mackintosh.  We can provide both walking and driving tours of the principal buildings designed by Mackintosh within Glasgow, not forgetting to have refreshments at the world famous Willow Tea Rooms and the museum within Queen's Cross Church.  Also not to be missed is Hill House near Helensburgh, the interior is the star of the show as well as the landscaped gardens and views over the Clyde.

The Highlands and Islands contain the most breath taking scenery within Britain and offers plenty opportunities for outdoor activities.

Fort William is an excellent base to explore the surrounding area with the benefit of Glen Nevis, terminus of the Caledonian Sleeper and The Jacobite Express.  The latter is a wonderful steam train journey to Mallaig which includes the Glenfinnan Viaduct as seen in the Harry Potter films.  I can thoroughly recommend the natural splendours of Glencoe and Loch Loch for walking and climbing.  Of course no visit to the Highlands would be complete without exploring the magical castles that dotted along the coast.  These include Castle Stalker and Eilean Donan on the road to the Isle of Skye as seen in the James Bond film 'The World is Not Enough'.  Portree on the Isle of Skye is a delightful seaside port with a quay packed full of pastel painted houses looking out to the beckoning sea.
